Alyscia first discovered her love for Photography when she took it as an art elective while a student at Montgomery College. At the end of the course, her Professor was so impressed with her portfolio that he encouraged her to continue her photographic studies. Discovering her passion for photography, Alyscia did not stop at Photography I, but continued with Photography II. By then, her Professor and classmates were suggesting that she consider a career in photography. “Changing my major from Physical Therapy to Photography was the easiest decision of my adult life.” Alyscia’s main focus is the human image. She uses dramatic lighting in many of her images to foster a greater interaction between the viewer and the photograph. Above all, Alyscia loves to convey a feeling of ease or comfort through her subjects. “I believe my innate tranquility is of great help in doing so.”

In 2003, Alyscia graduated from Montgomery College with an AAS in photography and has exhibited her work in the Lightroom/Darkroom show in Baltimore, MD and the Boudoir Delights, erotic art show in Washington, DC. She has no limitations with the approach or direction of her photography because she believes she is capable of many techniques that can be incorporated with her style. “Each image I have produced derived from a thought which looks exactly like what I have captured on film and printed onto my paper"
