"My photography is the way I express my love for the world – for its strength and potency as well as its majesty and beauty. I am an observer of life as well as a participant in the ongoing evolution of the world and its inhabitants. I am especially interested in exploring the multitude of ways that people see the world, from the literal expression of molecular matter to the fantasies of wishes and daydreams. Some of my photographs represent exactly what the camera saw at the moment of capture; others are highly stylized, reflecting the diversity of ways in which people understand the earth.
I am a digital photographer and I work to replicate traditional film and darkroom techniques in a digital production environment. My work ranges from black-and-white documentaries to toned, solarized, infrared, and toy camera fine art pieces. I print all of my photographs on archival paper with archival inks."
