After 20 years in the business world, Colleen decided to “ditch-it-all” and focus on things she enjoyed. She turned to photography and has never looked back. Being a native of the DC area, Colleen is partial to creating photographs of downtown Washington, DC, especially at night after a fresh snowfall. In the early morning or late afternoon hours, she enjoys taking long, solo hikes, seeking out quiet, tranquil landscapes and seascapes that encourage the mind and body to discover and contemplate.
Colleen focuses primarily on black & white imagery, however she recently began to re-explore the world in color and finds it challenging and invigorating.
Colleen actively shows her work throughout the Washington DC area. She is involved and supports a variety of arts organizations. Colleen teaches digital photography courses geared for the darkroom photographer interested in learning the digital process.
