It is actually through photography that I explore new places. This is my retreat. My photographs resonate peace, tranquility, harmony, and serenity. I am humbled by nature’s grace. My photographs are visual diaries. I look at everyday life and find something to celebrate, a multi-layered and cross-cultural exploration of life. My photographs are created spontaneously. Some of the images appear as assemblies, vignettes, collages, portraits.... I print my own work, improvising as the process unfolds in the darkroom. The images are textural “works-in-progress” and free from the boundaries of a rectangular photograph. I know for myself, I am more interested in the evolution of an image rather than the perfection of it. For me photography is the development of something that is tactile and not far removed from our own experiences and environment.
