Diane Tuckman was born in Egypt and grew up in France. During those years she traveled extensively throughout Europe. It was after her marriage that she came to the United States. Her passion for images, for the visual, is what led her to photography, an art form that permits her to share very special moments. For many years Diane has been involved in the art world, in particular silk painting. As the founder of SPIN (Silk Painters International), a non-profit organization to promote this art form, Diane serves as the Executive Director of SPIN. In collaboration with Jan Janas, Diane co-authored three books: The Complete Book of Silk Painting, Creative Silk Painting and The Best of Silk Painting, published by North Light. A life long interest in ‘the image’ is what led her to photography. The “eye” may be reflecting and the “inner eye” helps capture those special compositions.
