Evelyn Jacob creates images from nature, both in the field and in the studio. Using color, line and texture, she conveys a wide range of qualities and feelings. Evelyn is especially interested in how nature images can inform human life. She uses film and digital cameras, and prints digitally.

In late 2004, after working 27 years as a cultural anthropologist, Evelyn turned her attention primarily to photography. Prior to that switch she studied with numerous photographers and pursued her (then) avocation until work got in the way.
