
Our guest speaker on Friday, May 30 was Theresa Airey, pioneering digital photographer and author of three books on creative photography.
She is the author of Creative Photo Printmaking and Creative Digital Printmaking, both published by Amphoto, and has shown her work extensively in the United States and overseas. Airey's work has been published in Digital Photo Art, Peterson's Photographic Magazine, Camera Magazine, Darkroom Techniques Magazine, Darkroom and Creative Camera Techniques, The ImageMaker and in Photo Techniques. Her images have been used in advertising, stage productions, posters, CDs and calendar art. Her work is in several permanent collections including the prestigious Pretenkabinet of the Rijksuniversiteit in Lei den, Holland, the Polaroid Collection, the Fuji Collection, The Rehoboth Art Center, and the Altos De Chavon Art Center in Santo Domingo.
Theresa Airey holds a MFA in Photography and Fine Art and has instructed photography at the University of Maryland, Baltimore Campus and at Towson State University. Presently she is teaching at the Maryland Institute, College of Art, and teaches private workshops in her studio and at seminars across the country
